Sunday 30th July

After just 4 flights yesterday, there was hope of a little more today. The jetstream is still in the wrong place for summer, and the forecast was going for showers although the timing kept changing.

But there were a few opportunities for soaring if a cloud was picked that wasn't just about to rain!
Simon Leeson and Oscar  got it right,  and a Mile High Trial lesson visitor opted for 2 * 2000ft aerotows.

Nick Jones and Phil Morrison tried out their new acquisition DD3 DuoDiscus XLT, and Phil and Gill managed to soar in a bit of a convergence away from the streeting downpours.

Congratulations to Glenn Turpin who renewed his Instructor Rating with RE Simon Minson (subject to acceptance flights with CFI Stu.) -  A small turnout today with several rain breaks but over 30 launches. - J&P
